This abrasive wheels course is aimed at persons working with Abrasive Wheels. It is a legal requirement under The Provision and use of Work Equipment 1998 (PUWER) that anyone who use abrasive wheels in the workplace receive abrasive wheels training.
This course will provide training to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER).

During the course you will cover the following topics:
The law governing abrasive wheels safety
The recommended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Methods of marking abrasive wheels
Inspection, storage, handling and transportation
The types of portable abrasive wheel machines and their safe use
The correct use, setting, adjustment and inspection of flanges, guards and accessories

After successfully completing the course you will receive a certificate of attendance.
Who Is This Course For?
The course is for people who fit abrasive wheels to work equipment or for those that use work equipment fitted with abrasive wheels. You should take this course to comply with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, and the Heath and Safety at Work Act 1974.
